Privacy Policy

1. Introduction and Data Controller

caglardogan.com (the "Site") is a website operated by Çağlar Doğan for personal portfolio purposes. Under Turkey’s Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), the data controller is Çağlar Doğan (Antalya, Türkiye; info@elchedo.pro). For visitors from the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") is also observed.

This notice explains which data is processed, for what purposes and on which legal basis, to whom it is transferred, and what your rights are.

2. Data Processed

The Site is a static portfolio site with no membership or accounts. The following data may be processed:

  • Server and security logs: IP address, time of visit, requested page, browser and device information. These logs are kept technically by the hosting and content delivery provider.
  • Contact data: the name, email, phone, company and project details you choose to send by email, phone, WhatsApp or the project form. Project form data is not stored on the Site; when you submit the form, your email app opens and the details are sent by email.
  • Only if you consent, via Meta Pixel: a cookie identifier, IP address, browser and device information, pages visited and contact steps (clicking a WhatsApp, phone or email link, submitting the project form). The content of the form is not sent to Meta.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

  • Server and security logs: to run and secure the Site, based on legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5/2-f; GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Contact data: to reply to your request and, if we work together, to prepare that relationship (KVKK Art. 5/2-c; GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Meta Pixel data: to measure ads, build ad audiences and improve ad performance, only on the basis of your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5/1; GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

Personal data is never sold.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

  • Essential: the Site keeps your sound preference and small page-transition details in your browser’s session storage, and your cookie choice in its local storage. This information never leaves your device and does not require consent.
  • Advertising and measurement (consent only): Meta Pixel is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and uses cookies such as _fbp (lifetime: 90 days). Unless you consent, Meta Pixel is not loaded and no data is sent to Meta.
  • Google Tag Manager: Google Tag Manager, provided by Google Ireland Ltd., is loaded for tag management. No measurement or advertising tag currently runs through it. Any Google tags added later are set up with Google Consent Mode to run only with your consent.

You can change your choice or withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw consent, Meta Pixel is stopped and its cookies are deleted. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

5. Data Transfers

Personal data is shared only with the following providers, for the purposes stated:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosting, delivering and securing the Site.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and its affiliate Meta Platforms, Inc. (USA): only if you consent, for ad measurement.
  • Google Ireland Ltd.: technical connection data needed to load Google Tag Manager.
  • Email and WhatsApp providers: to handle communication when you contact me.

These providers’ servers may be located abroad. For the transfer under Meta Pixel, you are informed on the consent screen and your explicit consent is obtained. For visitors from the EU, Meta Platforms, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

6. Retention

Server logs are kept only for the provider’s technical retention periods. Correspondence is kept for as long as your request and any working relationship last, and as long as legal obligations require. The Meta Pixel cookie _fbp lasts 90 days; data sent to Meta is retained under Meta’s privacy policy.

7. Your Rights

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to:

  • learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information about it;
  • learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly;
  • know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom data is transferred;
  • request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data;
  • request erasure or destruction under the conditions of Article 7 of KVKK;
  • request that third parties to whom data was transferred be notified of correction, erasure or destruction;
  • object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems;
  • claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

Visitors from the EU also have the rights to restriction of processing, data portability and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority under the GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

You can send requests to info@elchedo.pro; they are answered within 30 days at the latest.

8. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated when necessary. The current policy is always published on this page.
